Video Production

My team and I constantly shoot different styles of corporate video projects and commercial shoots for companies.

Sometimes these videos might be short form commercials centered around products or food, building lust factor to inspire clients to buy something or visit a restaurant.

For professional service-based companies, we also produce longer form videos that help people form personal connections and build trust with their management team.

Here are some examples.

Corporate Video Content

This is a video from a series we shot with attorney Jill Hiraizumi-Artino, founder of Hiraizumi Law Group, an Orange County based law firm that specializes in Estate Planning, Trusts, and Wills. We’ve produced, shot, and edited several videos for Hiraizumi Law Group, but these are just a few samples.

As the owner of the company, Jill is a huge fan of Gary Vaynerchuk’s content model, which includes creating lots of customized still and video content to build trust and a personal connection with potential clients.

In modern times where everyone is competing for attention, people tend to flock towards people and personal brands that they know and trust. My team and I completely understand that, because we come from ad agency backgrounds as creative directors and marketing strategists.

We can certainly use our expertise in working with top tier brands like TOYOTA, Hyundai, Red Bull, Kawai Pianos, and more to help you with your content marketing strategy and creative.

Short Films w/ Product Placement

I produced and directed a series of video projects for automotive eCommerce giant FCP Euro, as part of a larger content marketing campaign that included several monthly photo shoots and production of long form articles on the website, which were then repurposed into short form content for daily social media blasts and weekly newsletter marketing campaigns.

Rather than starting with a new subject, we decided to shoot a full video about a person who we previously featured on the FCP Euro website - Justin Fon Cashmore.

As the owner and builder of this Renault Dauphine, Justin always wanted to own a stylish, fast car… but after he retired from the US military, he decided that he would use his skills and ingenuity to build himself a fun car with his own two hands instead of just going to the dealer and buying a cookie cutter Porsche or something.

This video tells his story. A careful eye will also notice some subtle product placement in the footage. When I showed up to Justin’s garage, I noticed he actually had a box from FCP Euro sitting on the side of the garage. When I asked him what was in there, he said, “before you shot my car, I had never previously heard of FCP Euro… but I started checking out their website since my car was featured on it, and since I wanted to rebuild my engine anyway, I bought a bunch of rebuild parts for my Volkswagen-powered Renault, as well as the other VWs and Mercedes builds we’re working on here at the garage.”

The woman featured in this video, Belinda Sarooei (aka @BelindaBenzo on Instagram), is a stark contrast from most of the "car guys" that normally get featured by automotive brands.

Belinda is a successful entrepreneur and CEO of a clothing company, but is well known and respected in the car community for her tireless dedication to her W111 Mercedes Benz fintail. We decided to highlight Belinda in this video to show that just like music and food, the passion for cars is something that unites people of many diverse backgrounds.

Shortly after we shot this video, she was honored and featured by Mercedes Benz in their own magazine, as well as the esteemed Automobile Magazine from the Motor Trend Group.

This entire production was done by a two person team. I produced and shot the video, and it was edited by Travis Hodges.

Who do you know that could use a video like this to tell the story of their business or personal brand?

Product Promo Videos

My team and I were chosen out of a HUGE pool of companies bidding for the projects to provide commercial photography and video production services to Kawai Pianos. Here’s a promo video we shot for the Kawai DG30, above.

For this video, the client only wanted product shots and lifestyle shots for their promotional video; they didn’t want any voice overs or sound recordings for this particular video.

Customer Testimonial Videos

I was contracted to build a team to shoot "run and gun/reality TV style” customer testimonial videos for a corporate client called Timeshare Compliance, a law firm that focuses on helping people that are stuck in timeshare contracts.

For these specific video projects, the client asked that we shoot in a “reality TV infomercial style,” modeled off of the Publisher’s Clearing House style videos where Ed McMahon would show up at a customer’s house with. camera crew, presenting sweepstakes winners with a giant check.

The client did not want a cinematic look for this project, so I actually had to buy lower end lenses than what I typically shoot on. Instead of shooting in a cinematic 24fps with gorgeous 120fps slow motion low Fstop creamy background bokeh b-roll shots, the client specifically requested that we shoot in a 30fps high fstop style, where you can see all of the background details in each shot.

For this project, I held casting calls and pre-vetted hundreds of applicants by reviewing their reels and scheduling phone interviews before sending my top 3 choices for male and female hosts to the client.

I also built a film crew that consisted of 2-3 shooters to capture footage with different angles and different lenses, as well as a professional sound recording engineer. We worked in tandem with the client’s contracted video editor to produce the final project.
